My interest in real estate started as a young child. On my family's weekly grocery store run, you could find me in the local real estate publication section, scouring over properties for hours. This passion never dwindled, and I started my career in land acquisitions. I eventually became Vice President of two successful home building companies.
I then became a licensed real estate agent (26 years ago!) and focused on real estate full time. I realized this career was meant for me, and learned as much as I possibly could. Within a few years, I started managing real estate teams and mentoring agents. This led to an opportunity to start a brokerage with another agent. Needless to say, I know this business on every level.
In 2018, I realized my own sweet spot had shifted. I knew it was time for me to find a new path in this industry. I saw so many wonderful agents get lost in the paperwork and tedious tasks of contract to close, which is when I knew I had to start Chesapeake Transaction Management. Some of them left this work altogether.
Laura has done everything from helping with buyer side contracts from the minute they go under contract and helping with listing review to organizing our contract files. With my busy schedule and getting my new company up and running, I don't know what I would do without her!
